When you shop for groceries...

Paper or Plastic?
Do you coupon?
Do you consider sale prices or do you buy by brand?

I bring my own bags. I have had the same set now for about 4 years. I love them and they hold a ton.
I sometimes coupon for groceries but not always.
I watch the prices and plan my meals on what is on sale. But I like the brands I like.

Where I live (Ontario, Canada) we have to bring our own bags. Its $0.05 each bag if you forget and they give you a dirty look like "you non earth lover how dare you use plastic bags!" So now I have a stash of bags that I bring with me.

I hardly use coupons... but then again I don't know where everyone gets them from?
Its only me and my husband so we don't buy a lot at once. We stop on our way home from work and pick up what we need to make dinner that night. I find things don't get wasted that way.

I hate to say I use the bags the grocery store give me...I know, it is terrible. My only excuse is that I reuse them for doggy do do bags. I have a ton of reusable bags, but somehow they never make it to the store. I tried to coupon for like a week, but I realized I spent more on the paper than I was saving in coupons. I only go to the store about once a week for basics, in Chicago it isn't that easy to get around. And to be honest, we go out to eat most of the time. I thought this would change when we had Emma, but it hasn't. We just don't like to cook and frankly, suck at it! Plus we live in Chicago, the home of so many fab retaurants.

Paper or Plastic? both. i do reuse any bags i get. I also use reusable bags but mostly when i go to the farmers market

Do you coupon? yes, but only for things i use. i have been known to get things for free with coupons.

Do you consider sale prices or do you buy by brand? yes and no. i plan my meals 2 weeks at a time using sales ads.... but im brand loyal to several products and wont buy something because of a sale price. i.e. i only buy coca cola

I am a total diet coke girl. can't imagine drinking pepsi! lol

ugh me neither! I hate when restaurants ask if pepsi is okay??!?!?! I'm like NO!

im okay with them asking if its okay. i just get something else.... no problem

but when they dont ask and bring me the pepsi.... they screw their tip. i worked as a bartender/restaurant manager for a few years after getting laid off. you ALWAYS ask
